lipgloss is okay maybe at 12.. but anything else i'd say 14-15..At what age do you think teenage girls should be allowed to wear light light make-up?
I think these day we are making our kids grow up to fast we should want them to stay young as long as possible i think lip gloss is fine for ages 13 and up but why would a teenager need makeup unless to hid a scare or birthmark on the face don't be in a rush to make your little girl grow up i have a 13 year old girl and her body make her look about 17 but i make her dress and look like a 13 year old young lady. when she is a junior or senior in high school we will talk about make up light or not.

Honestly, I know moms that will put that on little girls (4-8) because they want to do their makeup like mom does. I work at a daycare with school children who carry around lip gloss. For my own children I would allow it in the 7th or 8th grade maybe will some powder foundation. However I would teach them to do their makeup and make sure they know ';less is more';. Hope this helps.
Interesting question... I wasn't allowed until I was 15 (I'm 25 now), but I see 11-year old girls with a full face of makeup!
I think once they start high school is a good time.
My daughter is in the 8th grade. She just expressed an interest in the last year or so. 12-14, depending on the girl.
When they start junior high they should be allowed to wear a colored lipgloss and maybe colorless powder (to help with adolescent shine). No eye make up until they are 15.

Nailpolish is already cool in my house, and she's 8. Lipgloss/approved colors of eyeshadow (for example turquoise and black will not work) I expect to approve for 7th grade.
I think 13 is appropriate. If she is old enough to get her period, she should be old enough to wear light eye shadow and lip gloss.
I have told my oldest daught that she can wear make-up once she is in grade nine. I will tell my other two daughters when they are old enough the same thing. I also have a rule about dating or ';going out with'; someone until they are in grade nine too. This rule goes for my son too.
i have a 12 yearold sister and my parents let her wear lipgloss and for special things my mum might add a little blush or eyeshadow . \but for everyday i think 13 is a good age for the rest. lightly of course

Ugh there is nothing more skanky and slutty than seeing a 10-14 year old wearing makeup! In my opinion its ok for 15 and up to wear make-up. Reason, because they don't look like little prostitutes they look more mature.

Bodily Injury covers injury to others in an accident and is usually offered in a ';split'; limit. The first number is the amount of coverage per person and the second is the amount per accident. The third number is the property protection for damaging another persons property (e.g. their car, lawn, mailbox, fence, etc.)
20/40/10 - Fine if you don't own anything, have very low income and don't care if someone is injured in an accident that is your fault.
25/50/25 - Better, but still irresponsible for most people that have a job in the U.S.
50/100/50 - Getting better. Not bad for young drivers who have no assets to protect form a lawsuit
100/300/100 - OK for most. Many people have this limit if they own a home
250/500/250 - Very good, if you own a home with equity, have a well-paying job and have other assets to protect.
Most would stop there. However, beyond this you might consider an umbrella, excess liability, policy in addition to the auto insurance. This policy will have a limit from $1M to $5M or more. Also, alot of idiots only get 10k in property damage. What if she totals one new car? That would leave you with tons of out of pockets!

Now, for yourself... its up to you if you think you need comp/collision. Just keep in mind... regardless of how crappy your car is.. if its wrecked... and you dont have it.. you will have nothing. Can you afford a replacement car?

If you have medical already from your work, etc., you may not worry as much about covering yourself for that.
If you have a nice car and want it fully covered, you should get comprehensive and collision to the actual value of the car. No point paying for more than actual value, because you aren't going to get more than that back from the insurance company anyway.
If your car is only worth a couple of thousand, you may just want to skip that coverage as the premiums will probably be considerably higher, especially if your daughter is young.

This boy sleeps all day every day in school. He's passing all classes even though he does this. Then, later on through the day he works and then go home and go to sleep and this repeats and repeats and repeats. He's not shy or anything either... When he wants to, he wakes up and talk (but it's not often enough).

Assuming this boy is in puberty, it is not unusual for someone to need more sleep. The body is using up a lot of energy producing new hormones and adding bone and muscle to the body. He should simply get more sleep for a while and see if it helps. If it doesn't, then he needs to check with his doc for sleep apnea, low thyroid, etc.

it doesn't just make you sleepy, it makes you fall into bouts of sleep randomly throughout the day. just conk out all of a sudden.

Don't freak out! That isn't going to help the situation AT ALL. You need to be there and supportive. Don't make him feel uncompfortable by asking him ';when, where, why, how'; questions. And don't treat the girl like a slut either.
I would make sure he understood his responsibilities to the girl. I'd help him get a job if he didn't have one already. I'd ask him what I could do to help out. I'd talk to him about how he felt. I'd basically be there for him. Above all he'd understand what I expected him to do. Help as much as he could to financially support his girlfriend before the baby is born then financially support his child. Be there for his girlfriend when she needs him. Be there for his child always.
First I would be very upset. Then I would sit down with him and tell him about the future of what's to come. Then go talk to the girl's family (Parents). Then both Me and her father will kick his @$$
I'd be shocked! And then supportive. I've already been through this. My son and his children's mother got married right away, (he was 18 already, she was 24 at the time). Now~Two Years Later~ they have three kids, and they argue all the time, Their house is never clean and She never gets out of bed! The first babies were twin boys, then they had a little girl. THANK GOD she got her tubes tied now! I can only imagine how many kids those two would have. I'm just glad they don't live with me!
I would be immensely disappointed since I will teach my children how to protect themselves and their partner's and this pregnancy would mean that he was not being as safe as he could have been.
I would let them know that it's okay, that I love them and that we'll work through it together. I would ask him to ask her to take a DNA test once she gives birth (assuming she keeps the pregnancy) and if the test is positive, then we would arrange for child support. I would pay it because I want my children to go to college and make something of their lives. I would encourage him to be involved in the child's life and if the young Woman tries to stop him, then I would pay for my son to sue for custody. Above all, I would tell him that he does not have to let go of his dreams and aspirations and I would encourage the young Woman not to as well though I do understand that it is different for young Women. If she seems hesitant about being a mother, I would offer to take custody of the child, allowing her visitation, so that she, too, could continue with her life.

Don't freak out! That isn't going to help the situation AT ALL. You need to be there and supportive. Don't make him feel uncompfortable by asking him ';when, where, why, how'; questions. And don't treat the girl like a slut either.
I would make sure he understood his responsibilities to the girl. I'd help him get a job if he didn't have one already. I'd ask him what I could do to help out. I'd talk to him about how he felt. I'd basically be there for him. Above all he'd understand what I expected him to do. Help as much as he could to financially support his girlfriend before the baby is born then financially support his child. Be there for his girlfriend when she needs him. Be there for his child always.

I would let them know that it's okay, that I love them and that we'll work through it together. I would ask him to ask her to take a DNA test once she gives birth (assuming she keeps the pregnancy) and if the test is positive, then we would arrange for child support. I would pay it because I want my children to go to college and make something of their lives. I would encourage him to be involved in the child's life and if the young Woman tries to stop him, then I would pay for my son to sue for custody. Above all, I would tell him that he does not have to let go of his dreams and aspirations and I would encourage the young Woman not to as well though I do understand that it is different for young Women. If she seems hesitant about being a mother, I would offer to take custody of the child, allowing her visitation, so that she, too, could continue with her life.

Just make sure the characters have good and bad characteristics. Don't make them too perfect or they will seem fake. Just maintain the balance between kid and adult. The characters should be slightly naive but also mature. Teenage characters are all about balance between adult and kid. They should have real emotions and react the way a real teen would. Ask your friends for help on the topic as well.
To entertain a youn audience make sure the story stays realistic but not to the point of boredom. They should be able to feel the emotions of the characters and make their own opinions. The book should have a fun/creative side but also have a serious plot to it. Be sure the problem is clear and stay on topic. Hope I helped(:

When you write your dialogue, make sure you have them speak exactly the way you would. You have to be two or three people at the same time, remember that.
For every action there must be a reaction from the author. That reaction comes from what you've told the 'action' character to say. In other words you have to argue with yourself at times. You have to show emotion on both sides at times. It's all YOU.
You're right in believing that you will definitely entertain your audience with realistic situations and dialogue. You're off to a great start right there.

Everybody has potential. Whether or not they can break free from whatever is holding them back is what separates those who succeed from those who fail. And, it would be wise to note, that there are loads of mature and/or older musicians that never even get as far as people such as Miley Cirus. But, it doesn't stop them from playing small gigs at local bars and weddings.
It would be ignorant to say that the Disney Corporation didn't have a huge say in the popularity of Hannah Montana, and thus Miley's career. But, at the same time, she has said, with her own mouth, that she wants to break away from that image, so good for her. Unfortunately now, she has the whole child actor stigmata following her wherever she goes. Historically, this pans out quite poorly for all but a very select few people.
However, the true problem doesn't lie with the teens being idols. Instead, it has much more to do with the teens being idolized. For instance, shows like American Idol have a pretty big following. People seem to love the drama involved with 'their' idol either succeeding or failing. It causes such a commotion for some viewers, that the people responsible for the show, have even changed formats, and now offer second chances!?
But, how many of these so called fans actually watch the careers of those idols beyond just the season in which American Idol is even on television? Trust me, those winners aren't idols forever. And, no matter how much the fans kick and scream, that show isn't going to be on television forever either. Eventually something will throw a cog into the wheel and the producers will pull the plug. It happens all of the time.
It's tactical and smart business though. If the child or idol draws a crowd, then they make the money. As long as they make the money, the producers will support them. As soon as the money stops coming in, well then the companies stop the support. I believe the phrase used most often in the business world to illustrate this tactic is; Would you cut off a broken foot if it meant you could save your leg?
But, don't let the business talk fool you. Take for instance any band that has been deemed a 'One Hit Wonder'. This is where true fandom reigns. There will always be the select group of people who will follow the careers of these stars no matter where it leads. And, should these teen idols have at least one such hit, this could secure their place outside of this so called Disney Image, as a cult classic.
And, then you have your 'icons' as well. Metallica, for instance, had similar problems when they cut their hair in the 1990's. People literally said things like ';Oh they cut their hair, they're not rock and roll anymore!'; Then there was the whole Napster ordeal. People quite literally set their Metallica albums of fire over this. But, it doesn't stop Metallica from touring, and it doesn't stop them from filling stadiums even today. The point of all of this is, that if these teen idols have the drive to succeed, then they will, because everybody has potential.
They make money which is what they were created to do
They will never become an iconic, classic band/musician
My 24 yr old son's fav band is the Rolling Stones and even in his mid/late teenage years along with current music he was listening to, Da Stones, ACDC, Meatloaf etc etc

Everybody has potential. Whether or not they can break free from whatever is holding them back is what separates those who succeed from those who fail. And, it would be wise to note, that there are loads of mature and/or older musicians that never even get as far as people such as Miley Cirus. But, it doesn't stop them from playing small gigs at local bars and weddings.
It would be ignorant to say that the Disney Corporation didn't have a huge say in the popularity of Hannah Montana, and thus Miley's career. But, at the same time, she has said, with her own mouth, that she wants to break away from that image, so good for her. Unfortunately now, she has the whole child actor stigmata following her wherever she goes. Historically, this pans out quite poorly for all but a very select few people.
However, the true problem doesn't lie with the teens being idols. Instead, it has much more to do with the teens being idolized. For instance, shows like American Idol have a pretty big following. People seem to love the drama involved with 'their' idol either succeeding or failing. It causes such a commotion for some viewers, that the people responsible for the show, have even changed formats, and now offer second chances!?
But, how many of these so called fans actually watch the careers of those idols beyond just the season in which American Idol is even on television? Trust me, those winners aren't idols forever. And, no matter how much the fans kick and scream, that show isn't going to be on television forever either. Eventually something will throw a cog into the wheel and the producers will pull the plug. It happens all of the time.
It's tactical and smart business though. If the child or idol draws a crowd, then they make the money. As long as they make the money, the producers will support them. As soon as the money stops coming in, well then the companies stop the support. People literally said things like ';Oh they cut their hair, they're not rock and roll anymore!'; Then there was the whole Napster ordeal. People quite literally set their Metallica albums of fire over this. But, it doesn't stop Metallica from touring, and it doesn't stop them from filling stadiums even today. The point of all of this is, that if these teen idols have the drive to succeed, then they will, because everybody has potential.

Just make sure the characters have good and bad characteristics. Don't make them too perfect or they will seem fake. Just maintain the balance between kid and adult. The characters should be slightly naive but also mature. Teenage characters are all about balance between adult and kid. They should have real emotions and react the way a real teen would. Ask your friends for help on the topic as well.
To entertain a youn audience make sure the story stays realistic but not to the point of boredom. They should be able to feel the emotions of the characters and make their own opinions. The book should have a fun/creative side but also have a serious plot to it. Be sure the problem is clear and stay on topic. Hope I helped(:

When you write your dialogue, make sure you have them speak exactly the way you would. You have to be two or three people at the same time, remember that.
For every action there must be a reaction from the author. That reaction comes from what you've told the 'action' character to say. In other words you have to argue with yourself at times. You have to show emotion on both sides at times. It's all YOU.

Back in the 50's and even 60's, if a teen became pregnant she was usually shuffled off to a relatives house or even a convent. They just yanked the girl out of school and away she would go.
I have to believe most returned home, with lies %26amp; excuses to keep from embarassing their families and to make sure their future spouses did not find out.
The statistics that the above answerer quoted were concerning MARRIED women as unmarried women were shunned and the stats were never kept! And lots and lots of pregnant teens become married women pretty quickly, so the stats do not take into account those that did not marry.

There were more then now, but the biggest difference is there are more unwed mothers now. Girls back then got married for the most part when they ';got in trouble'; And some went to homes for unwed mothers and gave their babies up for adoption at birth. Or where sent ot stay with family, and older married family members raised the baby as theirs.

How do i help my teenage niece lose weight without dietpills or expensive diet plans?
I'm 16, and I was never overweight, but I lost a shitload of weight from running. If she runs 2-3 miles every day for the whole summer, she'll lose quite a bit. If she doesn't run at all now, she'll have to build up to it. It depends on what kind of shape she's in. If she's really fat, she'll have to start by going around the block for a while and build from there. It'll be a while before she go a good distance. If she's in decent shape already, she should be able to run a short distance for about a week or two, and then move up to 2-3 miles per day. Seriously, if she does this, she doesn't have to change what she eats at all, as long as she takes in roughly 2000 calories per day.

When I say is it possible to prevent teenage pregnancy, I mean, like is there anything we can do to tell these nasty little girls who wanna act all grown ups to not have sex?
I mean, young girls are popping out babies like it's a new fashion trend.I'm tired of it. You know, theres a pregnant girl in almost every one of my classes! It's horrible. Is it possible to prevent teenage pregnancy?
Preach both protection and abstinence. Tell them if they do do it they should use protection, because there is also STD's. But condums and birth control do not work 100%. Tell them if they REALLY do not want to have a baby or get an STD, like there's no way they could possibly handle it, then they shouldn't have sex at all until they know they're ready for a kid. At the end of the day it will always happen, and there's nothing we can do. Chastity belts are unsanitary, forced sterilization is bound to violate body rights, and punishing pregnant teens legally would just cause more problems and would in my opinion would only exist in some sort of totalitarian society, plus what about the boy who got them pregnant?.
But honestly, don't let other girls who are having babies make you mad. If you're doing what you think is right in your life then that's what matters. Plus you never know, they could have been raped.Is it possible to prevent teenage pregnancy?
Well firstly it isn't just 'nasty little girls' who are wanting to have sex, we need to blame the boys for this too. The only way to really prevent it, seeing as education isn't working, is to lock up teenagers and put chastity belts on them.
I don't think the nasty pictures of STD's work, because they show all those at my highschool sex ed, and teenagers are still having sex. They know that the only way to catch STD's is through intercourse, so they aren't worried if the person they choose to sleep with is a virgin or has only had sex with people who are virgins.
Peer pressure might work. Just start saying 'being a pregnant teen just is not cool. it is so 5 minutes ago. Not the thing this year. ';
Let your girl friends know that you think getting pregnant is about the dumbest thing a girl could do and always, always tell girls you know are already having sex that they must use Two kinds of birth control. They must be on the pill or injection and still use condoms. You must stress STD's and ask your school administrators for a 'baby think it over' class.
Be disapproving and scornful about girls getting pregnant. ';She so did not have to do that. They could have waited till they were out of school and could support themselves. Waiting is better.';
Education about sex in general, and all the kinds of birth control including abstinence, should be taught from the 6th grade though 12th grade. It should be a mandatory class too. Twice a week all during middle school, once a week in HS but mandatory.
If the students start asking for sex education classes it will make a huge difference. So ask, go to the school board meeting too and ask for sex education classes that teach all types of birth control. Petition your school administrators. Write the Governor and the State Legislators. IF the Students ask for it and keep asking it will happen.
Ugh me too. But you have to think of the one's who didn't mean too. Some you can tell but some it's like, well you know. Like I am 15 and I'm pregnant but I didn't mean to do it. I had sex once, I hated it and probably won't do it for a while. We used a condom and I still got pregnant and I am keeping my baby because it wasn't his or her fault I got pregnant so I won't kill him/her. The parents now a days always seem to be MIA.

well, i read a series of manga that had these types of issues. the series is called Deep Love and it was based on something else, i forgot. however, it's 4 stories of 4 individuals whose lives are connected by forms of love, and burdened with despair, suffering, etc. 2 of the stories made me cry. shhhh!!!!! anyway, you could send them a link and have them read it. you can read it too, but keep some tissues handy.

Alot of kids have false ideas on preventing pregnancy.. they think there is a ';safe'; time frame during their menstrual cycle.. they also think that pulling out is a good method of birth control. They just dont want to believe it can happen to them!
Having sex with a virgin doesnt guarantee anything either. Think about it.. everyone was a virgin at one time.. diseases come from SOMEWHERE! Some people are born with AIDS and Hepatitis! Some people also LIE about being a virgin.
umm its their choice on what they want to do... you cant tell them anything. yeaa they are having kids younger and younger these days but my mom had me at 14 and shes a great mother. and im 14 now and im in a relationship and im sexually active with him. i use protection everytime and im on the pill and im not pregnant :) there not nasty girls they just made the decision to have sex. and now there paying the consequence... having a baby.
It's up to the parents to enforce it, up to the school to teach it - sex ed. Schools need to provide birth control (and protection overall) because otherwise our population is going to skyrocket.
Since people mostly don't believe in abortions (- be pro choice!) there are a lot of teens having children.
It's stupid, but its part of our culture... pop culture. But really we need to supply them with info and protection. Simple as that.
it is a babyboom in the making. the schools could make rules about not allowing girls who are pregnant to attend classes with other students, and keep them all together or somehow shun them from activities and maybe girls will reconsider their actions if honestly thinking of the future.
Get a large group of these former teen know-it-alls who have had children to get the current teen know-it-alls to babysit their children for just one day. However, I wouldn't trust most of these kids with my child, seeing how they are irresponsible children themselves.

Preach both protection and abstinence. Tell them if they do do it they should use protection, because there is also STD's. But condums and birth control do not work 100%. Tell them if they REALLY do not want to have a baby or get an STD, like there's no way they could possibly handle it, then they shouldn't have sex at all until they know they're ready for a kid. At the end of the day it will always happen, and there's nothing we can do. Chastity belts are unsanitary, forced sterilization is bound to violate body rights, and punishing pregnant teens legally would just cause more problems and would in my opinion would only exist in some sort of totalitarian society, plus what about the boy who got them pregnant?.

Well firstly it isn't just 'nasty little girls' who are wanting to have sex, we need to blame the boys for this too. The only way to really prevent it, seeing as education isn't working, is to lock up teenagers and put chastity belts on them.
I don't think the nasty pictures of STD's work, because they show all those at my highschool sex ed, and teenagers are still having sex. They know that the only way to catch STD's is through intercourse, so they aren't worried if the person they choose to sleep with is a virgin or has only had sex with people who are virgins.

Education about sex in general, and all the kinds of birth control including abstinence, should be taught from the 6th grade though 12th grade. It should be a mandatory class too. Twice a week all during middle school, once a week in HS but mandatory.
If the students start asking for sex education classes it will make a huge difference. So ask, go to the school board meeting too and ask for sex education classes that teach all types of birth control. Petition your school administrators. Write the Governor and the State Legislators. IF the Students ask for it and keep asking it will happen.

im a teen girl and i love it ( i live three hours away) but then again i like it for shopping. if he likes shopping and mabe shows like magic or a concert he will like it. it is also just alot of fun to just walk down the strip and see all of the free shows outside of the hotels- like TI and the marage. also you can get a day pass for the pools at the Monte Carlo ( you dont have to stay there you just have to buy the pool pass) they have a wave pool and a floating tube pool its fun i enjoy it.
oh also at the luxor they have some cool stuff to check out.

I don't speed or do anything to jeopardize my safety or anyone elses. More laws aren't going to change anything. It's the actual drivers that need to change.
Why not go to your local police department and DMV and ask their opinions. Who better than those involved.

How many chinups should a teenage girl be able to do?
I am 15 and I can do three (three is pushing it though, lol). My health book says that if a girl can do one then its classified as ';excellent.'; Lol so me ignoring the book, how many should a girl be able to do?How many chinups should a teenage girl be able to do?
Women are not designed with the upper body musculature to be able to do chinups very easily, which is why they say being able to do one complete chinup is excellent. Female athletes in good physical condition usually can do between 1 to 3, sometime more, gymnists usually can do a few more. It is also a slightly dangerous move for a female because it stretches the shoulder joint and can cause a dislocation. We just aren't built to handle weight in the upper body area- it's the female pelvis that is designed for that. So if you can do three, that's excellent- but I don't suggest you try pushing it to do many more than that, because you can seriously injure your shoulder joints.How many chinups should a teenage girl be able to do?
