At what age do you think teenage girls should be allowed to wear light light make-up?

I am talking about eyeshadow and lipgloss. At what age do you think teenage girls should be allowed to wear light light make-up?
lipgloss is okay maybe at 12.. but anything else i'd say 14-15..At what age do you think teenage girls should be allowed to wear light light make-up?
I think these day we are making our kids grow up to fast we should want them to stay young as long as possible i think lip gloss is fine for ages 13 and up but why would a teenager need makeup unless to hid a scare or birthmark on the face don't be in a rush to make your little girl grow up i have a 13 year old girl and her body make her look about 17 but i make her dress and look like a 13 year old young lady. when she is a junior or senior in high school we will talk about make up light or not.
15
Honestly, I know moms that will put that on little girls (4-8) because they want to do their makeup like mom does. I work at a daycare with school children who carry around lip gloss. For my own children I would allow it in the 7th or 8th grade maybe will some powder foundation. However I would teach them to do their makeup and make sure they know ';less is more';. Hope this helps.
Interesting question... I wasn't allowed until I was 15 (I'm 25 now), but I see 11-year old girls with a full face of makeup!

I think once they start high school is a good time.
My daughter is in the 8th grade. She just expressed an interest in the last year or so. 12-14, depending on the girl.
When they start junior high they should be allowed to wear a colored lipgloss and maybe colorless powder (to help with adolescent shine). No eye make up until they are 15.
7th grade
Nailpolish is already cool in my house, and she's 8. Lipgloss/approved colors of eyeshadow (for example turquoise and black will not work) I expect to approve for 7th grade.
I think 13 is appropriate. If she is old enough to get her period, she should be old enough to wear light eye shadow and lip gloss.
I have told my oldest daught that she can wear make-up once she is in grade nine. I will tell my other two daughters when they are old enough the same thing. I also have a rule about dating or ';going out with'; someone until they are in grade nine too. This rule goes for my son too.
i have a 12 yearold sister and my parents let her wear lipgloss and for special things my mum might add a little blush or eyeshadow . \but for everyday i think 13 is a good age for the rest. lightly of course
13
13 was when i first got make up. don't let them wear anythign but the simple stuff -- i hate not being able to go somewhere without putting on make up plus we teen girls tend to forget what real beauty is...
14
mmm,can we say paranoid?!

Lip gloss is nothingg at all,the purpose is to make yerr lips well glossy!

and eyeshadow isnt really anything eitther.

i started at 12..!

16 now and i turned out fine!

But really the only answer for this is whenever you think its appropriate!
16 for the eye shadow, I'd probably be more flexable with lip gloss..say 14
BEFORE 13 IS JUST WRONG
Ugh there is nothing more skanky and slutty than seeing a 10-14 year old wearing makeup! In my opinion its ok for 15 and up to wear make-up. Reason, because they don't look like little prostitutes they look more mature.

thanksWhat is the best car for teenage drivers?
SUVs are not good for inexperienced drivers because they are top-heavy and are hard to handle in an emergency situation. How about a nice Honda Civic to start with? Here's an article that has some other suggestions:

.What is the best car for teenage drivers?
Check out this ebay motors link and NO GEO OR CHEVY TRACKERS, you'll die if you hit a stop sign in one of those.
err you wont find a reliable Suv for that price. not unless you get it from a family member.

try a civic, sentra, or focus.
Yeah because you are really going to pull a cherokee for 3500. Go something cheaper and reliable like a civic or a camry.
Hmm.. Looks like you can get a car.. but make it higher but it wont look good try a Honda civic or a Nissan

How much coverage do I need for car insurance for myself and my teenage daughter?

Here are rules of thumb for liability coverage:

Bodily Injury covers injury to others in an accident and is usually offered in a ';split'; limit. The first number is the amount of coverage per person and the second is the amount per accident. The third number is the property protection for damaging another persons property (e.g. their car, lawn, mailbox, fence, etc.)

20/40/10 - Fine if you don't own anything, have very low income and don't care if someone is injured in an accident that is your fault.

25/50/25 - Better, but still irresponsible for most people that have a job in the U.S.

50/100/50 - Getting better. Not bad for young drivers who have no assets to protect form a lawsuit

100/300/100 - OK for most. Many people have this limit if they own a home

250/500/250 - Very good, if you own a home with equity, have a well-paying job and have other assets to protect.

Most would stop there. However, beyond this you might consider an umbrella, excess liability, policy in addition to the auto insurance. This policy will have a limit from $1M to $5M or more. These policy usually require the underlying auto insurance have a limit of 250/500/100.How much coverage do I need for car insurance for myself and my teenage daughter?
lets face it.. your teenage daughter WILL get into a wreck. they all do lol.

The big thing you need to watch is NOT getting state minimum coverages- that leaves a big chance that you will get sued for damages.

I would recommend an absolutely MINIMUM of bodily 25/50 for bodily injury per accident. What this means is.. if you or your daughter injure someone.. your insurance can coverage up to 25k per person and 50k per accident.

Also, alot of idiots only get 10k in property damage. What if she totals one new car? That would leave you with tons of out of pockets!

Again.. i MINIMUM of 50k or so is recommended for property damage.

Now, for yourself... its up to you if you think you need comp/collision. Just keep in mind... regardless of how crappy your car is.. if its wrecked... and you dont have it.. you will have nothing. Can you afford a replacement car?

And please please please get UMBI. This covers you if you or your daughter or injured by someone whos not insured... and this is TONS of people. Dont screw yourself over. How much coverage do I need for car insurance for myself and my teenage daughter?
JC,

Depends on what you are looking to achieve. If you just want to cover other people, you can get away with liability. Others have mentioned the limits, etc.

If you have medical already from your work, etc., you may not worry as much about covering yourself for that.

If you have a nice car and want it fully covered, you should get comprehensive and collision to the actual value of the car. No point paying for more than actual value, because you aren't going to get more than that back from the insurance company anyway.

If your car is only worth a couple of thousand, you may just want to skip that coverage as the premiums will probably be considerably higher, especially if your daughter is young.

Hope that helps. There are more insurance tips at the link below, like how to get discounts and stuff.
Young drivers are 3x more likely to cause an accident than a seasoned driver.

You want higher liability (because if you don't, the injury party can sue you - the legal adult - for the rest.) At best, your liability should be 100,000/300,000/100,000.

The other coverages you can play around with...If you have health insurance, they may cover injuries with a car accident. If so, you can reject Medical payments and Uninsured/Underinsured coverage.
First of all, you need to figure out what the minimum limits for coverage are. Then go from there. States like PA and New Jersey have low limits of 5K property damage and 15/30 bodily injury. 5K will not pay for anything these days.

Having comp and collision on your vehicle is dependent on the year, make and model of your vehicle. A 94 saturn is not worth the cost of collision coverage. If she drives a newer vehicle, the premium for all coverages will be higher. She could elect Comprehensive only to cover for deer hits. If you have comp and collision, don't forget to get rental coverage!

Your assets should also determine your insurance coverage. If you have a house or you have a well paying job, you want to have higher liability limits. Depending on your personal health insurance coverage, you may need to look at your first party medical coverage.

There is so much more to go into, and I can't get to it all here. No offense, but that's what agents are for.
Minimun of 50k or so is recommended for property damage.

I found interesting information about your answer here. Goodhttp://all-car-insurance.blogspot.com/ G鈥?/a> luck!
I look at car insurance from a particular point of view that strikes a balance between minimizing cost and maximizing coverage. Assuming I own my car(s) and do not have to follow a lender's insurance requirements, I select the highest amount of coverage I can afford with the highest deductibles the insurance company will allow, e.g. $1,000 deductible or more.

My thought is that I am buying insurance against a major accident and any damage to my car that is less than the deductible I will either pay for out of pocket or live with. Also, if I am not at fault in an accident the other party's insurance will pay all of my claim.

If you own a very old car you may consider dropping your comprehensive coverage for your car all together since it will likely be totaled in even a minor accident anyway.

Stress to your daughter that she needs to be as safe a driver as possible to keep the privilege.

  • Do you think this is normal teenage behavior?

This boy sleeps all day every day in school. He's passing all classes even though he does this. Then, later on through the day he works and then go home and go to sleep and this repeats and repeats and repeats. He's not shy or anything either... When he wants to, he wakes up and talk (but it's not often enough).

Do you think this boy is damaging his health? Do you think he's in good health?Do you think this is normal teenage behavior?
Onset of narcolepsy possibly?Do you think this is normal teenage behavior?
Assuming this boy is in puberty, it is not unusual for someone to need more sleep. The body is using up a lot of energy producing new hormones and adding bone and muscle to the body. He should simply get more sleep for a while and see if it helps. If it doesn't, then he needs to check with his doc for sleep apnea, low thyroid, etc.
L of Arabia, have you any idea what narcolepsy is?

it doesn't just make you sleepy, it makes you fall into bouts of sleep randomly throughout the day. just conk out all of a sudden.
He could be addicted to sleeping, and that's bad. He should consult a doctor to determine if he has a condition. Such behavior is not conducive to good living and is not a norm of society.
Yes, he's damaging his health. Normal people can't even fall asleep during the day time if they're not EXTREMELY tired.

This boy must be very fatigued.
Yes he is damaging his health. It is not good to sleep that much. Someone should let his parents know about this.
No the person above me is a ******
no he is fine, if he had a problem his grades wouldent be good

Why are older men attracted to teenage girls?

It's DISGUSTING. I'm sick of hearing the discomfort in girls as they talk about some older men practically raping them with their eyes. Why are older men attracted to teenage girls?
Ya its true 30% of old people have such intension,.because they missed there youthfulness and they want to have such age to take such a pretty teen girl,.but they never realize they already passed and enjoyed there youth enough in life,.all they need is good counseling,.and if those girl call them uncle or grand pa.,they may feel that they are in a very respected position they should not look such a way.,most girls usually wont.,.,the one more issue is that girls activity sometimes.,,some girls wont dress properly.,.,well covered dress will bring more respect from men than a micro mini,.this issue every girl should understand,.Why are older men attracted to teenage girls?
Ever hear the saying ';Look but don't touch';? Sure, it's disgusting, I'll agree with you there. But, at least the man isn't putting his hands on the girl.
