Women are not designed with the upper body musculature to be able to do chinups very easily, which is why they say being able to do one complete chinup is excellent. Female athletes in good physical condition usually can do between 1 to 3, sometime more, gymnists usually can do a few more. It is also a slightly dangerous move for a female because it stretches the shoulder joint and can cause a dislocation. We just aren't built to handle weight in the upper body area- it's the female pelvis that is designed for that. So if you can do three, that's excellent- but I don't suggest you try pushing it to do many more than that, because you can seriously injure your shoulder joints.How many chinups should a teenage girl be able to do?
well according to the book thingy only like 2 or 3, but in my opinion, a teenage girl should be able to do at least 6 or so
lol my best is 13 chinups XD but 3 is very good for a girl =)
im 18 and in very good shape, (i surf,ride motox,snowboard, and go to thr gym 5 days a week) and i think i can do 2 or 3 tops.
