Is it normal for a teenage boy to put on excessive weight?

Ive put on exessive weight in a couple of years. ive gained about 20 kgs and i havent really changed anything in my HEALTHY eating habits. Also does this fat just seem to melt away after puberty? Also if any one has a story like this please share. Is it normal for a teenage boy to put on excessive weight?
You probably just have a bit of puppy fat and will disappear as you get a bit older. It could also be puberty hormone changes affect metabolism or even hereditary, are you big boned? Are your parents quite big too? As some people tend to gain weight easier if they are.Is it normal for a teenage boy to put on excessive weight?
No this is not normal:maybe your hormones are out of balance because of your being a teenager going through some changes.

How fat are your parents?See if you are built like they are:then it can be genetic.

But this is all guesswork:better see a doctor or dietist.

Maybe you have a thyroid problem.

Who will know?Only the doctor can tell you.

So,do go:kind regards:Sky
No, normally fat melts away DURING puberty. To gain weight during puberty is uncommon. If your eating habits really are healthy -- you should see a doctor or a nutritionist, but I suggest a doctor, they should check your thyroid.

Kind regards,

I better hope so 'cos I'm pretty large round the edges
