Im looking at cars but some of them look kinna gay... and i dont want a very big car... but a car bc its good on gas.. which is a big issue.. also something cheaper would be nice.... so any ideas?What is a good small car for a teenage guy who is about to get his license?

I just read an article about fuel efficient and cheap cars, the best one available in America according to the article was the Chevy Aveo. It's only $10,500 new and gets about 30 MPG, and it has a pretty simple design.
im 17 and i hav a 1994 pontiac sunbird (not sunfire) and i hav had a 1992 and now hav a 1994 cuz i loved my 92 but wanted more power so i got one with a 3.1 v6 buit they ride nice and insurance is super cheap and they are well under $3500
focus son had one for 6 weeks and totaled it BUT accident was not cars fault and car was totaled but no injury so would get another..
